Improving Access to General Practice Services

We are working to improve access to appointments for our patients, in particular at evenings and weekends. Appointments are offered at a variety of sites including Wimborne Hospital, so please enquire if you would like to be seen there in the evening or at the weekend.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

With effect from 28 May the Practice are required to conform to the legislation as detailed in the General Data Protection Regulations.

This concerns how we keep and use your personal data (and that of our own staff). New patients will be asked to complete and return a consent form. Existing patients may sign a consent form (copy attached) having read and understand the new legislation regarding which there is a document attached.

If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact either the Practice Manager or Assistant Practice Manager who will endeavour to answer any questions you may have.

Some Amazing News:

We are delighted to announce that Dr Simon Brown and his wife Hannah are expecting the arrival of twin girls!  As such Hannah, our Nurse Practitioner, will be on maternity leave for the next eleven months.  Dr Brown will be taking the next four weeks as paternity leave.  His clinics will be covered by the other partners.

Non-NHS Services - the Practice is, from time to time, asked to undertake work which is non-NHS.  The Practice does charge for some of these services and the list of such charges is attached.  If you are unsure, please do not hesitate to contact the surgery for advice.  Non-NHS Fee's List

We are looking to recruit a Medical Receptionist to our family practice based over 2 sites in Ferndown and West Parley.


We are a cohesive and friendly team with excellent staff retention rates and are looking to fill this position due to retirement.


This is an exciting and varied role.   The applicant needs to have excellent interpersonal skills, be a team player and have good IT skills although full training will be giving.


 We care greatly about our patients and good customer service skills are essential.


The post is for 17 hours per week (Monday and Tuesday) The role is  based  at our Glenmoor road site and is to also include cover for staff holidays on both sites.
